The Dodge Hornet is offered in all-wheel drive in the gas-powered GT and GT plus trims or as a hybrid in the R/T and R/T Plus trims. The GT and GT Plus trims are powered by a 2L turbocharged 4-cylinder engine mated to a 9-speed automatic transmission that produces 268 horsepower. The hybrid R/T and R/T Plus trims on the other hand are equipped with a 1.3L turbocharged 4-cylinder mated to a 6-speed automatic transmission which combined with the electric motor produces 288 horsepower and an all-electric range of 30 miles.

Buyers will likely be surprised by the level of standard equipment that comes on the base GT. An infotainment system with a 10.25-inch touchscreen, Wi-Fi hotspot technology, power windows and door locks, Bluetooth, Apple CarPlay/Android Auto connectivity, 4 USB ports, heated side mirrors, LED headlights, and 17-inch alloy wheels.

The GT Plus adds a remote starter, driver and passenger lumbar support, a power liftgate, power sunroof, an auto-dimming rear view mirror, heated and ventilated power front seats, leather upholstery, an 8-speaker sound system, voice activated navigation, a garage door transmitter, and wireless device charging.

The R/T models have all of the same features with a few minor differences including 18-inch wheels, a 306-volt battery system with a 15.5 kWh capacity, and bigger brakes.

Standard safety features include 7 airbags, a rearview camera, 4-wheel anti-lock brakes, rear parking sensors, lane departure warning, blind spot warning, forward collision mitigation, rear collision warning, front pedestrian detection, and a traffic sign information system.
